Three Days Poem by Joseph Anthony Montefusco

Three Days

It’s been only three days
since our hearts intertwined
Now I sit wishing
that I could rewind time

To the first day we met
face to face
So I can hold you, hug you
and feel your lovely embrace

The warmth of your body
brought a tear to my eye
Now I sit in the dark
and I still want to cry

I miss your kiss and touch
and your not so blank stare
For all of these make me think
maybe you really do care

Only time can tell
how you really do feel
And with time, what we call 'like'
can become something more real.
