Those Beautiful Days Poem by Elia Michael

Those Beautiful Days

Remember those beautiful days?
It was some years ago we went
To Maritsa and Tony Kay's
Astonishing wedding event

Oh they were such wonderful days
We ate and drank and drank and ate
The heat was such there was a haze
But still we walked and stayed out late

Remember the Omni Shoreham
Where famous celebrities stayed?
We had to act with decorum
And sip our sparkling lemonade

Remember the bridge, Brooklyn Bridge?
We walked across for a while
But I could have done with a fridge
While walking it for half a mile

We went and saw Mama Mia
A nostalgic and funny show
And then to a pizzeria
Such tasty pizza, such fine dough!

Those were the days, they really were
That holiday is forever
Enshrined in memory so clear
I cannot fail to remember
