I stare across this sea of stars
Wondering what out there could be ours
Through and through you and I
Can always just stare up at the sky

I was lost alone and cold
The sun itself was growing old
I spoke into the dark of night
And you appeared at my side

Now it is we instead of me
Together we shall always be
Against the tide, the lonely sea
Intertwined, and yet forever free

We are as notes in a song
That always plays on and on
Like this poem I wrote for you
You bring me joy, you are my muse
