This Little Girl You Call Daughter Poem by Amber giertych

This Little Girl You Call Daughter

Rating: 4.8

Take my life away
So I can see what happiness is
What heaven or hell looks like
What peaceful angels look like
What demons are when silent
That's all I want.

I want a death like no other
A letter like no other
And
to be saved like no other

I might wanna die but
I mostly wanna be saved
So save me from this hell
Called depression and
Carry me out of screams
And yells
Cause this little girl
You call daughter
Will never know what happiness is.

A good depiction of painful experience of life at its deplorable low ebb - a lose of sunlight occasioned by depression as it rears its ugly head. An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing Amber.
