This Life's Such A Sweet Tooth Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

This Life's Such A Sweet Tooth

I know, I know this truth
Of life's deserting youth,
Time, youthful desire dies,
Fulfilled when soul should rise,
Phoenix-like from ash to arise,
That all Me-and-Mine when defies,
The seeker in me when applies,
The unknown Infinite to size,
And when my true desire that lies
Somnolent wakes, higher to rise;
When cleavings to self dies,
The Higher Self it eyes.

I know, I've often heard this truth,
But this life is such a sweet tooth!
