This Is Life Poem by Ronnie Doherty

This Is Life

So this is it, my eyes close one final time
My deadline is met and life's clock starts to chime
Memories flash before me and I see all those I have loved
My time has expired as I join those above

What a journey I've been on and the memories I've built
Had no regrets through my time, no remorse and no guilt
There have been people I have cherished and those I have not
Not been afraid of being myself, just gave all I have got

Appreciate those around you and give the care they deserve
Everyone craves love and its your job to serve
You think it wont happen but the years come and go
Just be prepared for the bad times as the good times flow

You wont realise how good something is until it is gone
So once you finished this poem, pretend your life's just begun
You are never too young and never too old
So live life to the fullest before your final page folds
