Look around
The real Christmas is gone
People fighting
Families left out in the cold
Parents out shopping and fighting for a toy
Instead of home with their kids
What is wrong with people?
We’ve lost sight of what Christmas really is
What it really means
And why we celebrate it
Christmas isn’t the same
Christmas grown to be commercial
Shopping everyday
We waist our money
On what
Nothing but things that a year later
Will be forgotten and thrown aside
For a new year’s lot of gifts
So let me ask you this
Why do we do this to ourselves?
Buy things to show how much we care about or families and friends
What’s the point in that?
Why not just show them by spending time with them
Taking time out of our daily lives to thank our friends our families
Think about the last time you were having a bad day
Would you rather have a friend to be there and help you through it?
Or a gift or just a card
This idea goes the same with Christmas
Sure gifts are great and they have their place in the holidays
But they have overpowered it and ruined it
That’s not what the holiday is about
Stop the commercialization of Christmas
Spend time with your family and friends
Don’t take their love and gratitude for granted
This is the one time a year where we actually have chance to love everyone to our full extent
Don’t waste it
