This Happens Every Day Poem by Beverley Katherine

This Happens Every Day

Rating: 5.0

I drink my morning coffee, and there you are.
It always happens just then.

My whole world, it stops
and all I see is your face.
No light, no colour, no darkness, no shade -
just an endless you.
So vast and beautiful,
I catch my breath and I am blinded by the sight.

My coffee is cold.

and even as I put the mug to my lips
with a shaking hand,
you're still in my mind -
yet still so distant and unattainable

I thirst for you.

I leave the house.
I start my car.
I go to work.
I dream of you.

This is a lovely love poem... You've got a very interesting style of putting your thoughts in very concrete form...
