Thinking To Myself Poem by Mai Murphy Venn

Thinking To Myself

Rating: 5.0

The leaves are falling on the lawn
As I glance around at break of dawn
The colours are full of autumn gold
With greens and browns, I feel old

Soon winter will drop in on us all
And bring wind, rain, and snowfall
Then Christmas will bring us glee
It's that time of the year, we love to see

Then spring will skip along quit swift
Giving rebirth to our earth, what a gift
Fresh leaf buds sprout on every three
While birds search for partners to be

Summer will come like a tonic to all
Young, old, long, short and the tall
The wheel of life will forever go round
It don't change it course it onward bound

Great rhyming and a beautiful write, with the seasons captured with clarity and individuality of the uniqueness of their precious gifts of nature changing with spirit and eternal zest!
