They Say Poem by Nathan Smiths

They Say

Rating: 5.0

Take a sit back and just imagine the scene,
I'm sitting in a room so quiet and serene.
No voices, no shadows, my mind is a float
It's just me and the embrace of my white coat.

But the peace is broken by quite a nasty scene,
As my mind is shook back into reality.
They walked in unannounced as they do every day,
And as always they have something to say.

Listen to me now child; we only want to help,
We will place a bottle for your ailments on the shelf.
If you ever want to be well,
Walk with us and we will take you out of this hell.

With a gesture of their hand they sign for me to come,
But I will never follow as long as the Earth is warmed by the Sun.
I shout, and scream and bite because I have nothing to say,
And as always I am able to make them go away.

Finally I am alone in my room so peaceful and serene,
I have to say that I love this scene.
My little white room where there are no sorrows,
I hope I stay here forever, where there are no voices or shadows.
