The earth moves
suddenly
some houses crack
and some
get buried on the ground
bringing with it
children

people are screaming
and i
who had been thinking
is surprised

for why for heaven's sake
should this earth
stop moving?

it's silly
you yourself dance
and do the boogie
and the foxtrot

why on hell can this earth
not do that too?

you love being drunk
do you?
this earth does
that too

it is angry
and now would want to swallow
you.
