There's a story behind every picture
Memories from the unchangeable past
Can both haunt us
And yet - somehow - heal us
Our broken hearts mended

Photo upon photo in frames
Showing happier times
Showing friends and family
Laughing and smiling together
Yet also united through sorrow

But there is hope for tomorrow
There is faith for healing our sorrow
We can look inside our heart
And find a way to make
Our fear and pain depart

We are not alone
Our lives don't have to be devoid of love
We can forgive our enemies
Yet like elephants never forget
Having learnt valuable lessons

We all have our day-to-day
And night-passing-night
Where we must look within
And realize who we really must fight:
Our own inner demons to defeat with might

Happiness is in sight
But I don't live in a fool's paradise
I know reality: and dreams can come true
I know it can also happen for you
Where you need never feel blue

This is not a sad and sorry dream
All of this wonderful world being on my team
And where it was just once a dream
I had guts and have made it happen
And did so gracefully to honestly achieve.
