There is so much
Beauty and Love
In our world
So much that can make us joyful
So much we want to be
Then when we hear
That our Universe
Is a hostile stranger
That can destroy in an instant
Everything we care about,
We do not wish to believe-

We call out to God
Or to anyone or thing
That might help us
We cry in anger and disruption
We do not know what to do
How can it be
So much so great and good
So much we love
And it could all- all
Be gone
In an instant?
