There Is A Way Poem by Mokganedi Tatlhego

There Is A Way

And here we go again
One more phrase to light up your face
Maybe just more to depict rain
A thousand letters to flatten graves
For you I dream of tears opposite in taste
For you, this is my worded embrace
The lengthy touch I wove in tales
Not because I lack any verbal phrase
But ears are known to tire of lengthy sound waves
I could recite all my years of pain
Or bare all of mine that could be traced
For clarity in intention defies taint
I do know the stories of lone hearts caged
With another in sites unknown lying in wait
Oh how I not long for this fate
So with these are the proverbial sun’s rays
Laden to brim with worthy praise
And within you in your warmest place
Look upon these not as a foolish race
For you my love this was a worthy race
