The Woman Poem by Oliver .........

The Woman

A flower blowing to man
In the cool heaven after dusk,
Star of sensuous flesh, brittle
Centre, all breath and fragrance
Gushing from secret junctions!
Indolent, she reposes; those
Misty eyes shutting in bashfulness;
A procreative urge subdues her
Elemental, obdurate self.
She proclaims a world-
Rose-red lips, tense loins,
That geography of purple abdomen
And heaving of yearnful breasts!
Masculine fingers, may touch her
In orgasmic nights, release the shower,
The nocturne of heaven
A veil of coyness she'd wear
Through the webs of her doubts
That prevail upon those lovely limbs!
But disbelief and credulity,
Her faithful allies may sleep
With her until the day breaks!
An uncontented sea, my mistress,
A drift-boat upon bang-on-tides
Invites her man to satiate her
Delving deep through the smell
Of armpits, rose and, jasmine!
An orbit she takes on
with the children, her satellites
In all devotion! Yet, outworn,
Her flower, the body shedding
Former grace, atlast discerns the Truth! .
