The Wind Poem by Elisia Diaz

The Wind

Rating: 5.0

Listen to the wind
Listen to it's story

Hear about it's works
it's defeats and it's glory

Feel it play along your face
like a strong gentle hand

Hear about where it's been
Every exotic land

Hear about the history
and all the things it's seen

Listen as it washes the earth
and makes everything clean

Let it lift you to the sky
let it fly you there

To the lands you've never been
let it carry you to no where

Just enjoy ride that only comes once
when your young and still new

Not everyone gets ride this ride
No, very very few

Only the very few people
who can let their imaginations run wild

Who know they can still grow up
but can have the imagination of a child

The wind now gently sets you down
and whispers goodbye

It touches my face one more time
then leaves toward the sun drifting to the sky
