I am surrounded by water
but there's not a drop to drink

I am on solid ground
but I'm afraid I might sink

I am surrounded by people
but I feel all alone

I have been here for years
but I can't call it home

What can I do
when nothing seem right

I am in the dark
but then I am in the light

Nothing seems sure
to the skin on my hand

My problems seem countless
like the beaches sand

Every where I turn
illusions bombard me

Nothing is what it seems
Even me
