The Way He Looks At Her



The fact that she's doing this for us is great
But I've seen the way he looks at her
It's obvious that he wants to be with her
But she won't do that to her dear friend
But the way he looks at her...
I know I wouldn't want to give him up for her
That would break my heart
But the way he looks at her...
Her friend loves him.
He loves her.
Someone will be hurt
Because of the way he looks at her.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Once upon a time my friend was in love with a boy for a long time and when he met our other friend, it was obvious that he was falling for her, and she made the decision to stop speaking to him in order to prevent hurting her friend. In the beginning it says 'she's doing this for us' which, she was essentially doing the same thing for me.
