The Watcher Poem by Tim Vallie

The Watcher

It may think but never speak
This creature strange and meek
Four arms and yet no hands
From strange forgotten lands
This watcher with one eye
Can tell no truths or lies
This keeper of ancient things
May see what fate may bring
It knows forgotten lore
Yet may tell it never more
For the gods once stole it's tongue
For singing songs that should not be sung
