The Wall Poem by Nosheen Irfan

The Wall

Rating: 4.3

There are no words on the wall
It's painted anew
Erasing all old stories
With a dab of fresh color
Though the past is there
I can hardly read
Words are still there
Behind the new-found flash
That paints away the phantoms
From the book of yesterday

No writing, come and see
The wall is blank and free
Bring your pen and write
Something unwritten before
A line of soulful depth
Hiding a world beneath
Something that would stay
Withstanding the rough day
And the stroke of a brush

I hold the pen
Between my fingers
The wall is inviting
New words arise in me
Waiting to burst out
And splash the clean wall
Once again, as in past
Let's go on and on
Writing away

The slate is clean...... the wall is white washed erasing all that was written earlier.... You have the pen ready! Now script the saga of life, so that others can read and enjoy!

A silent message of wall is more powerful than a write, it can break even a Berlin Wall and on the other hand it can survive for thousands of years like the China wall. The secret of walls is in their foundations.
