The Voice Of Christmas Poem by Angello Furigay

The Voice Of Christmas

Little Grace Ellington, yes she could sing
Her golden voice was as gold as a ring
Although her voice was as beautiful as a flower
Her magnificent singing didn't reach pass the shower
Her outstanding talent was wasted, she was way too shy
But on the night before Christmas she looked up to the sky
And there she saw Santa on his sleigh
With all his nine reindeer just riding away
Something had happened! Santa and his reindeer fell in the snow!
Grace Ellington watched as Santa screamed, "OH NO! "
She ran out to get him back on his feet
There lay Santa all broken and beat
"What happened? " she asked in a worried tone
"The Christmas cheer has not grown! "
"My reindeer's energy comes from Christmas cheer! "
"But sadly there's not enough this year! "
Grace Ellington knew what to do
She sang Christmas carols until Santa's sleigh flew
And all the neighbors heard her sing
Her wonderful singing was fit for a king
Everyone started to sing along
"Up on the Housetop" was the final song
And when Grace Ellington looked up to the sky
There was Santa flying high
Santa was waving goodbye on his sleigh
With all his nine reindeer just riding away
And thanks to Grace Ellington's beautiful voice
The gifts were delivered for all to rejoice
