Thoughts that suck me in..
Flashes that hit my emotions string..
Forgetting is no cure for the past that tends to linger..
Images pop-up I once left behind..
Now back as poison on my mind..

The barrier is slipping away..
The trouble I had to find a place to put it all away..
Somehow memories bring pain that tends to linger..
Every single passing day is a hammer to my heart..
Every word I didn't say is a nail that plays it part..

As I refuse to say the unspoken..
In silence I will write everything that made me so broken..
