The Unborn Child's Request

Rating: 5.0

'Like a tadpole he jumped in the womb and I couldn't sleep well
The whole night I was awake.' She complained to her husband.
'Mom! If I can stay a longer here that would be great.
You know why? I dreamed a better king who rules the World after hundred years and is it too long?
Mom please ask the doctor if it's not harmful to you then let me stay and I won't be a trouble that I promise.'

Another powerful political poem about the precariousness of life in these troubled times. I don't blame your foetus for asking for more time before being born. Though my cynical self might suggest that one hundred years on things could be worse than they are today. A clever idea expressed with consummate poetic skill. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

How nice it would be to always be safe, happy and secure. Very touching, Nimal. Kind regards, Sandra
