The Ugly Chair Poem by Randy McClave

The Ugly Chair

Poor little chair
Sitting by the table in the corner over there,
Tarnished and colors fading
As though as if it had never had any shading.
It has been in that corner for many years
And on it has been spilt food and many beers,
But, it is still so very sturdy
And it's much older than thirty.
It's set sits across the table from it
Where also many people had come to sit,
But, it had kept its beauty and its glory
Like the princess chair in any romantic story.
The chairs know that one is beautiful and one is not
For their beauty they were originally bought,
And they both are able to give the same support
To any tired or worried person, they will give comfort.
