The Truth Poem by Sarah Holmes

The Truth

Why didn’t I see the truth,
Everything you said was lie.
There’s nothing left for me to do,
Just tears for me to cry.

You messed around with my head,
Played games with my heart.
Then you run a mile from me,
And leave me torn apart.

I wish I didn’t know you,
I wish we had never come to be.
There no point in wishing,
Just a mistake that now I see.

I should have known from the start,
That you would NEVER be true.
Well you lost any chance there was,
Of there ever being a me and you.
