The Three Of You Poem by Jayson Howard

The Three Of You

You’ve been here a long time.
Nothings better than history.
What do I do,
when you do this to me?

I was crushed.
I was hurt.
I’m left,
in the dirt…

You’ve been here a short time.
Nothings better than new beginnings you see,
but I don’t understand,
how you did this to me.

I was crushed.
I was hurt.
I’m left,
in the dirt…

You’ve been here not too long, not too short,
but you just push me away.
I don’t understand,
what I did, or what more I could say.

But I was crushed.
I was hurt.
I’m left,
in the dirt…

The three of you,
want nothing better to do,
with me.
It’s the same old thing,
same old routine,
with me.
The three of you,
want nothing better to do,
with me.

So I am crushed.
I am hurt… truly.
But I won’t leave,
you’ll leave me.
