The Things That Make You Whole Poem by A. P. Hancock

The Things That Make You Whole

Go with me to a garden, that's young and ever green
Walk through rows of blossoms, your eyes have never seen

Sit with me and listen, to sounds of dawning day
Hear the plumed songsters, and what they have to say

Close your eyes and savor, the fragrance full and sweet
The honey suckle petals, that give us both a treat

Now hold my hand and show me, the colors of your heart
Let me see each flower, the rainbow's every part

Sing for me a verse or two, of your life's morning song
Sing it full and freely, sing it bold and strong

Surround me with aromas, the bouquet of your soul
And share with me the things, the things that make you whole
