The Star That Almost Fell Poem by Melissa Kirigin

The Star That Almost Fell

There was a star, young and true
Which graced the sky of darkened blue
Who danced and swayed with the wind each night
And lit the sky with its golden starlight.

But one night, as it danced and twirled,
It fell into the sleeping world
But it hung on, by a stray moonbeam
Would never let go, or so it seemed.

But that little star, he was so tired
He tried all night to get what he desired
He did what he could, and a little what he could not,
And somehow, back up there he got.

So when you struggle, and when your blue,
Just remember the star is you
And you can achieve anything, anything at all
Just like the little star, you'll never fall.

A very good description of how if you want it bad enough, it can be achieved. Tango.
