I Would If I Could Poem by Melissa Kirigin

I Would If I Could

If I could freeze the sun,
Just to watch it melt,
I would.
If I could turn the moon a bright crimson,
Just to see its bloodlit glow,
I would.
If I could take the stars and rearrange them,
Just to watch them scatter,
I would.
If I could turn everything to black and white,
Just like an old movie,
I would.
If I could tell you that I love you,
Just to hear you answer back,
I would.
