'The Splintered Shards Of Heaven' Poem by Floyd Zimmerman

'The Splintered Shards Of Heaven'

Rating: 5.0

What is Love?
Is it the whisper of a word on the breath of the air and the
shape of a face cut in the clouds?

Does your heart sing?
When it does, does it sing with the voice of
one who taught it to sing?

Do you see the stars?
I see the stars. I see my yesterdays
burning through the night.

Do you see the stars?
The splintered shards of heaven scattered many
across midnights' velvet cloth, like jewels
on a jewellers cloth.
