The Social Game Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Social Game

Rating: 5.0

What is it all about
the people the game itself
the indifference of society
no one seems to care
about real issues any more
just the hashtag flavours
which trend in press and tweets
that hyperbole cliché
blame it on the minority
so few reflect themselves
and the world carries on
dividing itself between
generations, sexes, morality
snowflakes to boomers
the generations X, Y & Z
whatever happened to people
working together
getting through life, together
playing this stupid game
as one unit, one team
what is it all about
I ask out of curiosity
as I stopped caring
a good few pages back
