The Siren Gets A Bad Report! Poem by Yogi Sally Ann Slight

The Siren Gets A Bad Report!

The Siren gets a bad report,
because of all that people thought,
jealousy has played a part,
in keeping Sirens and their man apart.

Old wives tails created bad thoughts,
that lovely maidens lured their men from ports.

Don't go to sea,
don't sail today,
for the Sirens,
will take you away!

They say the Sirens open box,
lured the sailors onto the rocks,
and in a way,
that's true today,
He will always turn away.
When YOU wife,
have no words of Love,
he will ask the Lord above,
to send a Siren to break his locks,
when your marriage is on the rocks!

To keep your man from straying dear,
whisper Love into his ear,
a man will run to a soothing voice,
if all at home give him no choice.

So Siren sing and lure away,
the lonely man who is turned astray,
by a nagging wife or girlfriend who,
cannot say, words of Love to you!

And keep your man for many a year,
sing words of Love and buy him beer.
For men were made by God to roam,
and that's why He invented the phone.

Rather a Siren out at sea,
than on an ambulance rescuing me.

A Siren now is on a van,
that screams,
get out of the way young man!

Or on a car, giving chase,
to capture rats that ruin the race.

And the other, oh woe is me,
the fireman getting my cat from a tree!

and don't forget the Sirens who,
in the War took care of you!
When under fire, get under cover,
save your Life, your Brother and Mother! -)
for only these can bring back to you,
the happiness that once left you.
And when in his arms,
you can forgive,
just hit him once,
and then start to Live.

Sirens save lives,
they always did!
but older ladies,
now lift the lid,
and tell the world,
that it's not true,
a Siren saved my man for YOU!

We now sing in Church you see,
and guide your Soul from purgatory.

So if you feel you've lost your way,
let a Siren Guide you in today,
and when you reach the guiding Light,
you can choose to do what's right,
stay up here,
or go back to,
the wo/man who was best for you.

So, ladies when your man doth stray,
get on your knees and to Jesus you pray,
that your Love will bring him home,
and Jesus will let you know by phone.

AND WOE BE TIDE,
the sailor who,
will not listen to his/her Loving coo,
then you deserve your tearful grave,
if you don't try in Love to save,
for he/she is the most important part,
in your life,
you dirty tart!

and...
So the reason Lover's split,
is 'cos one of the Lover's...don't get it!

The Sirens sing,
and the Sirens save,
YOU,
from your tearful grave!
