The Significance Of Our Saviour! Poem by Denis Martindale

The Bible says God made us all who live upon this Earth,
That each life is a miracle before each one has birth,
That from the start unto the end, each has a destiny,
That Jesus was the Sinners' Friend who died on Calvary.
Beyond the time when crucified, when Christ was at death's door,
Beyond the day that Jesus died were prophecies galore,
Beyond the tomb, Christ's body laid, with soldiers still on guard,
Beyond believers now dismayed, all hopes then to discard.
God knew the outcomes yet to stir, and death was not the end,
God knew the blessings to occur on that you can depend.

Christ's resurrection came in time once Sunday came again,
And thus, that truth remains sublime as God's sign to all men,
For those who trust His sacrifice, God's answer to each prayer,
As proof, Lord Jesus paid the price, eternal life to share.
God's Royal Pardon we embrace - Jesus of Nazareth,
Forgiveness through amazing grace, Christ's life, His blood and death.
So pardon us if we hold fast to all that Jesus gives,
Accept it, too, when not downcast, for we know Jesus lives,
Now baptised as our Saviour was, with blessings He affords.
All thanks to Christ! Recall the Cross! King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
