The Shade Poem by Jane Valdomar

The Shade

A lonely place forsaken
Gone from no one's scene
Reflecting stars no radiance
With burning hell of ring

To which man can't decipher
That thriving crash of thump
Flouting all the glass with shadows
Condemning son of God

Thou heart that caters hatred
To thee they can't demand
Love afar subsistence
Believed by foolish man

Surrounded by well wishers
They who are ignorant
Reckoned this would be over
No, dear demons cannot

A man as tough as stone
Wont end up tearing down
But eyes wont ever see
How bad he broke his mind
