The Secret Of Life Poem by Matthew Hyatt

The Secret Of Life

Rating: 5.0

To stare into eternity
Is to stare into your eyes
Perfectly holding the answers to the lies
I look at you, at your blank face
Knowing now the answers to time and space

As you lay there, you no longer fight
You're no longer my beacon in the night
The bond we had shall always last
Surviving through future, present, and past

Time is one thing you can't keep
Now as you rest in your sleep
I feel so empty as I sit at your side
For you have died.
