The Second Advent Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

it's almost the end of the second Advent,
we prepare for the coming Christmas,
we focus on the birth of the baby Jesus,
all the inns were full,
Mother Mary found the only warm place for her baby,

in a manger,
where was that manger?
Of course in the stable with the animals.
I really feel so deeply connected to this baby Jesus, this most powerful man
in heaven and on earth, who was born so poor.
It makes me so sad just thinking about this.

For the coming Christmas holidays, people decorate the fir into a beautiful Christmas tree,
in these darkest weeks we have the light, few people associate this light with Christ who gave our earth enough light before He ascended to heaven.
We will soon enter Third Advent and focus on what Jesus means to humanity,
and what does He mean to each of us?

We can never compare Jesus with Mohammed, Buddha or Confucius.
Jesus is the Almighty in heaven and on earth,
He is risen from the dead, He is the only One who could
that shows His Sovereignty
He clearly wants peace on earth, as we often sing at Christmas
"Peace on earth...."
He is the Prince of Peace... sure
