The Search Poem by Roilynn brown

The Search

It begins with what will make me feel good,
and becomes a search of a life-time.

Its a search that leads me to a utopia of good.
Some good unrefined, some good like seasoned wine.

A search of good with satisfaction evasive.
Good that limit my awareness and strength, but all persuasive.

Believing it could be this, or it could be that.
It's good sought, that surly lacks.

What is this good of a life-time that I search for?
Is it a good that diminishes as I try to make it more?

My quest is a good that will transcend.
A good of the highest that never descends.

Understanding that the search starts with me,
I know I am the highest good that can be.

Love is the highest creation of good.
There are no limits of awareness and strength once understood.

A search that end with what makes me feel good.
It's a search of a life-time of love, as I knew it should.

The deepest and best type of love is love of the self. Nicely written poem.
