The Satan Poem by Mduduzi OneMind

The Satan

There was once an innocent girl
A blameless princess, treasurable to her parents
She was astronomical, fine-looking and admirable as stars
With a smirk that brought tears of joy on her parents faces
Well-mannered she was, not tainted by the wrongs of this world.

On the other side of town
A guy named Joshua, corrupted at a young age
Though he had an appearance of a gentle young sage
In his presence you couldn't even come to thought of him being as bad as the devil
He was one of his kind that only a blind man could see
With a tongue that could move oceans as quiet and sweet as honey

Excuse me, he met with the faultless soul without a stain
As he opened his mouth again and again
The lovely princess felt deeply touched in her heart
That's how thirst entered her spirit, fleshly urges like Eve in Eden
Trapped by the confrontations of the malevolent sage
Voice of Shakespeare an in his sonnet

The moral was lost like the virginity of innocent women
Tarnished by sweet and kind words that left a scar a mark from thousand swords
Like a leopard slowly surrounding its prey, she fell for the Satan
And soon started moving from one mountain to another trying to find what she lost
What could never be found

That is Satan
Invading homes and leaving them in ruins
What took years to build, he destroy in seconds
He enter lives and steal hearts, motivating comfort and protection
Only to trick souls into the hellish pit.
