The Rosebud Opens Poem by Raymond Farrell

The Rosebud Opens

Steady streams of sunshine
penetrate the tight rosebud
softly persuading her to relinquish
her natural virginity.

No prying fingers can claw her open
without desecrating her beauty
but now warmed and soothed
she slowly submits to instinct.

At last her soul is bare
revealing her inner charms -
a fragrant spread of blood red petals
glistening with dewdrops.

Her tears of joy.
