The River Flows In You Poem by Kiley Casanova

The River Flows In You

fear unexplained and great
fear that has been my hunter and i its prey
once i have fallen victim to this noble hunter
thus causing turmoil and disaster

now, i come to face my hunter
now, i am prey no more
to tame the mighty beast my mission
to rebuild the destroyed village my quest
i journeyed on to find the beast
for months i roamed the wild
on and on i walked
till on the eve of spring i found
the beast i feared is but a rat

but now that the beast is tamed
i came to find the river dried and dead
