Trust Poem by Kiley Casanova

Trust

covenants are pillars
they are strong and stout
but each pillar is only as strong
as its weakest part
covenants are like vases
put up on a pedestal
a slight nudge of betrayal
would make it fall and break
and no matter how hard you try to rebuild it
to find each broken piece
there will always be that missing one
a piece you can never fully restore
a piece so important
so elusive it could be
for when it is broken
yes it may be rebuilt
but all the marks of the fall
will forever be with it
