The Prayer Board Poem by Randy McClave

The Prayer Board

On the prayer board was written your name
Not for guilt, or for pity or shame,
But, because my spirit had told me to
Now God knows just what to do.
We the congregation together said a prayer
As though you were with us standing right there,
We prayed for your eyes and your heart to see the light
And proudly one day you will be standing in Gods sight.
Do not easily be tricked and/or deceived
Bad company cannot ever be trusted or believed,
They will destroy your life and also your morals
Your loss will be their win, with tarnished laurels.
So, wake up! from your drunken stupor
God and us all want you to become super,
We want you to have faith and to begin winning
Please, I pray do not continue on with your sinning.
You say that you pray to God, but he doesn't listen
Your soul hasn't become a true Christian,
Many say they do, but they have no knowledge of God
The bad company that you keep, they are all a fraud.
So, I say this to you with a marker in hand
Alone you don't ever have to walk or even stand,
Please reach out to Jesus our savior and lord;
Your name is now written, upon the prayer board.
