The Poet Poem by merc gabriell

The Poet

Rating: 5.0

you buried your pen
along with your dullness
you preferred to be the keeper of feelings
that couldn't be written

endured the chill of your own
darkness
then you buried yourself
clawing into the soil
like a lost maggot hidden from the
moonlight

soul crawling
to reach a core
grieving next to a
poem
