i don't write about mornings
that need a description of sunshine

i am never a participant
of brightness

i am locked in the dark
hatching the right time
trying to make sense of isolation

i don't mind being lonely
loneliness is my creation

where i aim
it fires

that is my message
to this world that turns itself upside down

i say no
damn it

i want to remain upright
