The Poems Of Old Age Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Poems Of Old Age

THE POEMS OF OLD AGE

The poems of old age
Tire of themselves
They know they give little hope
Youth is something else
Beginning is something different
The poems of old age
With their lament sadness regret fear
They are not the best poems at the best time
The poems of old age like old age itself
Make us wonder what it is still all for.
