The Pillow Poem by Luningning Minguez

The Pillow

I keep this pillow
as to keep your smiles
I keep this pillow
as to keep your tears that have dried
I keep this pillow
for it has heard our tiny secrets
every seemingly endless nights
I love this pillow
where those
sweet fragrant smell
of your sweat were left
I'll hug them as though
as I have hugged you...

Weren't these pillows
as nice as every memories we shared?
As nice as we catch
every morning sun rays with these pillows...
Our old cream rag pillow...
that i sew specially for you....
I'll keep it
as though it has not caught
your last smile...
and breathe...
as though it has not felt your last hug
or heard your last sigh...
as though i slept with you again
as though i still laugh with you
everynight, everyday with our
old cream rag pillow....
