The People I Saw Yesterday Poem by Carlos Daniel Neves

The People I Saw Yesterday

trying to get inside their heads
they end up geting inside of mine instead
they all look apart but they all have what I have
the people I see everyday

why do they all look like animals from a dream
why do they all act like they deserve everything
why do they live life as if it meant anything
the people I saw yesterday

they're all the same, they're all alike
oh the shame in their eyes
oh the shame in their eyes

they pretend to be blind when they so contantly see
the help they could to those who live in need
they all think twice before they start to just be
the people i see everyday

why do they go retarded when they fail to succed
why do they all have to live and die for greed
why do they all pretend that there is nothing beneath
the people i saw yesterday

they're all the same, they're all alike
oh the shame in my eyes
oh the shame in my eyes
