The Only Woman Poem by Dónall Dempsey

The Only Woman

Rating: 5.0

You only
have to '...be'

in order
to make me

happy.

It's as
simple as

that.

The very fact
that you '.. exist'

is

...bliss!

So you only
have to guess

the effect
your kiss

has
on
me.

Do I have to explain?
Isn't it plain?

I'm the man
that

you're the only woman
for!

And Dónall, you're the only man for me. I've written you a poem too: Do I deserve your promise of eternal love? I ask myelf, and myself replies 'Of course you don't deserve but listen, hear how your heart cries 'Yes, yes, yes', and your reserve is shattered by his diamond blade, his words of love that cannot be gainsaid.' And thankfully I rest at last. I've found the man to free me from the past.
