The Old House Poem by Martine Kolber

The Old House

Lost whispers from far away
Wasn’t it you who wanted to
Stay inside the cold of this old
House that never was a home to
Anyone and now you feel lost
Inside of the emptiness you
Cannot fill with her love anymore
So life got you hard and broke
Your old smile but sometimes
I can still see the glimpse of
A long gone smile for a second
But then again you start to cry
