The ocean water sang its rapid song
About a story that had been lost long
The fish settled into their dens for the night
To hear the story filled with adventure and sight
It began, indeed it began
In tragedy with a man
The man was sailing in the ocean
The boat moving into motion
But when the engine broke
Water curled around him, he began to croak
Not for long, the man was swimming
And darkness was near, the light was dimming
His strokes were weak, his limbs were numb
But then underwater, he felt something vibrate and hum
Scared, he was of dieing soon
Under dark, under the moon
He saw a fin come up and down, so near
So still he became, but shivering in fear
The face that nudged him was a dolphin blue
Who seemed lost like the man too
In relief he cried, in hope he clung
He thought he was brave, a hero unsung
So there ends a chapter for tonight
I'll tell you the rest in the morning light!
